MAILI CLARKE – THE FEELING

Maili Clarke is an indie-pop artist originally from rural Darwin, Northern Territory, now based on the coast. Maili describes this release as a bit different to her other stuff, and says it goes out to all the Cancerian lover girls.

YAGKI – BROKEN CHAIR

Serving as a preview into YAGKI’s upcoming sophomore EP, ‘Sleepwalking,’ ‘Broken Chair,’ was born in Inner West Sydney. It took three years before YAGKI was ready to share this story.

LULUC – SWEET THIEF (ALBUM)

Emerging from Melbourne, Folk Duo Luluc (Zoë Randell and Steve Hassett) release their sixth album on which they question and examine the shiny surface of modernity alongside the exploitation and existential manipulation that has crept into almost every aspect of our lives.

MAIRA FT CASS – NOTHING TO YOU

Inspired by bands like Slowdrive and Softcult, maira pulls from her love of shoegaze and indie rock. This release explores the aftermath of a situationship and the inner turmoil that comes with being ghosted by someone. This also marks the musical debut of cass who is has contributed photography to Futuremag.

LIZZIE HOSKING – UNFORGETTABLE

The new single by this Adelaide artist captures the spark of a fleeting connection between two strangers. The release sees Hosking return to her electro-pop, dance-fronted roots with evocative power.

EMMA DONOVAN FT. DRIFTING CLOUDS – BIRDS OF A FEATHER (TRIPLE J LIKE A VERSION)

Joined by NT legends, Drifting Clouds, Emma Donovan takes on a Billie Eilish heartbreaker for triple j’s Like A Version.

DYLAN WRIGHT – CROSSROADS (EP)

Following a breakthrough period that has seen Dylan establish himself as one of Australia’s most compelling voices, this EP showcases his signature blend of heartfelt storytelling, authentic songwriting and powerful vocals.

JACOTÉNE – SHUT YOU DOWN

Speaking on the release JACOTÉNE shares, ” ‘Shut You Down’ is a song about choosing openness over self-protection. ‘Love’s never wasted when it’s shared’ is a phrase that has recently helped me understand that vulnerability is always worth the risk, regardless of the outcome. It’s a song about standing by someone no matter what they choose.”

THE VELVET CLUB – ARE YOU FALLING IN LOVE? (ALBUM)

With their debut akbum, The Velvet Club navigate mental health struggles, relationship breakdowns, friendship, and solitude, fuelled by jangly guitars and hooks that move from bright to melancholic and back again.

HORSE – ASK ME AGAIN NEXT YEAR (EP)

The Newcastle five-piece unveil their highly-anticipated debt EP. The EP is a culmination of influences from garage rock, to post-punk to midwest emo, forging an almost undefinable genre.

BATCHELOR GIRL FT. GUY SEBASTIAN – PERMISSION TO SHINE

One of Australia’s most beloved pop albums gets a major 2026 revival! Batchelor Girl release a brand-new version of ‘Permission to Shine,’ featuring Guy Sebastian. Sebastian calls it “one of those Aussie classics that everyone loves and knows.”

JUST A GENT – MY WAY

This electronic producer and First Nations artist opens a new chapter with ‘My Way’, an uplifting drum and bass anthem that bridges the past and future of one of Australia’s most accomplished independent electronic artists.

GEOWULF – THE CHILD

Following a huge 2025 that saw Geowulf release her debut solo album alongside her EP Twinkly Depression, this year she’s been revisiting some The Child favourites that deserve their own spotlight. This week it’s ‘Unsay It All’ – a dreamy, emotionally raw reflection on loving someone who isn’t ready to confront their own struggles.
