DJ Heartstring | Melbourne

Iconic Duo, DJ Heartstring, truly brought Melbourne back to life on Friday, sending us well and truly into silly season.

The Wool Store was overflowing with people – hosting one of Melbourne’s most in-demand recent events (RIP to the Tixel resale page).

For those lucky enough to secure tickets, we were in for a euphoric, high-energy night, with the German duo’s signature trance beats ensuring that no one stayed still for the entire three hours.

Weaving together some of their best-known tracks – ‘Don’t Stop’, ‘Another Year Alone’, ‘Forever (if u need it)’, ‘Staring Into the Sun,’ ‘Alive (remix)’, and of course, ‘It Ain’t Over’ – we were reminded why they are some of the most talented producers in the electronic music scene.

A vibrant concert scene filled with a large crowd under red lighting, with people waving their hands and recording the performance. A DJ can be seen on stage in the distance.

Hearing ‘Another Year Alone’ for the first time since its release was a standout moment. As the track built, red lighting washed over the room before exploding on the beat drop, sending energy through the crowd.

The slowed-down vocals of ‘Forever (if u need it)’ echoed through the room, building anticipation up to the beat drop. Amber light beams cut through the haze, bathing the Wool Store in a warm orange glow as the crowd erupted.

A lively crowd at a concert with raised hands, illuminated by dramatic lighting effects.

Then of course, fan favourite ‘It Ain’t Over’, sent the crowd wild, bouncing up and down as the flashing lights matched the energy of the room.

After three hours of trance, flashing lights and pure euphoria flew by, there was no better way to close the set than Crush3d’s edit of Beauty and a Beat. The crowd erupted one last time, screaming every word together – so infectious that even the security guards couldn’t help but join in.
