Meet Archy Stranger, one of the new kids on the block. The vocalist, and producer recently dropped his debut single 'Holiday', and has some impressive production in the works. We had a sit down with Archy Stranger to talk over his new single, music direction, and the future of his music.

Futuremag Music: What's your relationship with music been like over the years? How'd you start the Archy Stranger project?

Archy Stranger: I have always loved music and listen to pretty much everything. I first started making music when I was around 15 just as a creative outlet but have recently started to get a bit more serious about it. The Archy Stranger project came about when I started recording my own vocals. Initially I was just recording vocal ideas for other vocalists to come and re-record but people seemed to like my vocals so they just kind of stuck.

Futuremag Music: What is your track 'Holiday' about? How did the initial concept come about?

Archy Stranger: 'Holiday' is about the importance of getting away and how it can offer a new perspective on things. I always feel like when I go on a trip even if it's just for a few days I get a new outlook on life. The initial concept for Holiday actually came from a idea that I recorded on my phone on a piano at a friends beach house. The same phone recording actually ended up in the final version.

Futuremag Music: What sort of direction are you moving in with your production? Where would you like to be with your production within the coming years?

Archy Stranger: I’m working on a lot of different areas with my production at the moment. I’ve been exploring some more up tempo house-influenced stuff as well as some more chilled out tunes. I’m also working on some production for  other artists as well which is always an exciting challenge. In the coming years I guess I’m just looking to improve my own sound and hopefully work with some more people.

Futuremag Music: What does the next year look like for the Archy Stranger project?

Archy Stranger: I've been working on a whole bunch of new material for myself and other artists so hopefully that will start to make its way out into the world. I’ve also been working on a live show which I’m looking to debut sometime next year.
