Sydney's live music scene got a real treat on the third night of Benson Boone's Australian tour. The intimate venue set the stage for an evening that felt as personal as it did powerful. Boone, known for his soulful voice and emotional delivery, did not disappoint, but it was the support act, Bella Amor, who truly set the tone for the night.
Gold Coast’s Bella Amor opened the night with a set that blended dreamy pop and soulful R&B vibes. Her voice, smooth yet with a unique rawness, immediately captivated the crowd. Amor's stage presence was magnetic, and it was clear from the start that she’s a rising talent in the industry. The way she effortlessly moved between ballads and more upbeat tracks had the crowd hanging on every note. The audience seemed to connect with her instantly, and by the end of her set, there was a buzz in the air—everyone knew she’d be back on bigger stages soon.
When Benson Boone hit the stage, the energy shifted into another gear, immediately demonstrating why his star is on the rise. The crowd was visibly drawn to his laid-back, yet deeply emotive stage presence. His voice, rich and raw, filled the venue, as he performed a mix of his latest tracks and fan favourites. In The Stars was a highlight, and the way the audience sang along to every word was a testament to Boone’s growing fanbase. Boone shared this was a song he wrote for his grandmother, making humour of a fan who thought this was the most appropriate song to request Boone to remove his shirt during. He asked everyone to put away their phones and to not record this song, and almost everyone did, showing the respect his audiences have for him.
Boone is more than just a singer; he’s a performer and showed off his acrobatic moves, doing flips from the piano to the stage.
His connection with the crowd was effortless. He talked in depth to the audience, sharing what each song was about. and involved us in singalongs. It’s rare to see such a young artist command the stage with the same level of confidence and vulnerability, but Boone’s ability to switch between light-hearted banter and intense, soul-searching ballads was remarkable.
The night wasn’t just about the music; it was about the experience. Benson Boone brought an atmosphere of warmth and authenticity to the stage, making sure the crowd felt involved in every step of the journey.
Boone ended the concert with Beautiful Things, but returned to the stage for an encore performance of unreleased track, Young American Heart.
