Crooked Colours - Flow [Music Video]

After dropping their latest single ‘Flow’ last month via Sweat It Out, Perth act Crooked Colours have just released an eerie, captivating music video for the track that is bound to momentarily transport you to another world.

Crooked Colours, made up of Philip Slabber, Leon De Baughn and Liam Merrett-Park, have joined forces with a variety of local Australian film professionals and rising stars in this intimate yet spacey visual accompaniment to the lead single and title track from their forthcoming debut album. The clip was produced in collaboration between Chris Hocking and the Latenite Films crew, and was directed by the Daperis Brothers, the men behind many of RÜFÜS’ popular videos. It also stars talented, well-known Australian actress and model Marny Kennedy. She is a previous winner of the Australian Film Institute’s Young Actor Award and her commanding performance in the clip really showcases her talent.

Whilst they are part way through their sold-out national tour for ‘Flow’ including some upcoming festival slots in Queensland and Western Australia, and after recently killing it at Hot Dub Wine Machine in the Hunter Valley, the band have just announced another three shows in the upcoming weeks. These include a DJ set in Perth, a second show at Northcote Social Club in Melbourne, and an appearance alongside talented Australian musicians like Tash Sultana, Mansionair at ‘Courtyard Live’ at Ivy in Sydney.

There’s no sign of them slowing down either. To add to this run of dates, Canadian electro-punk band Crystal Castles have just announced Crooked Colours as their main support on their AU/NZ tour, due to kick off in late May. Starting in Auckland, the tour will see Crooked Colours open for the popular internationals in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Fremantle.
