It’s been another huge week for new music in Australia, and we have loads of new releases to share with you!

Lime Cordiale- The Big Reveal; AU L’HYPOCRITE

Indie rockers Lime Cordiale are back with their latest single, four months after the successful release of ‘Pedestal’.

It’s another infectious and playful song from the group of which the title is influenced by an old French play.

Douzey- Discard (EP)

Following the release of single ‘Pavement’, Dousey’s three-track EP completed with tracks ‘Peachy’ and ‘Toxic Rain’.

Bursting with quirky anecdotes and tongue-in-cheek lyricism, 'Discard' promises to be a vibrant exploration of life's absurdities and frustrations.

Beso Palma- wait 4U

Sydney-based producer Beso Palma is back in impeccable style with his first single of the year in ‘wait 4U’, a thumping dance-floor filler that evokes the goodness of summer no matter where you are in the world.

‘Wait 4U’ is the latest glimpse of Palma’s forthcoming sophomore EP ‘Unknown of You' , which includes previous single ‘RTF’ that showcases the cross-genre brilliance of the producer all under a vibrant and inviting soundscape that has something for just about everyone.

PNAU - Hyberbolic (album)

Australian electronic group PNAU are back with their first album since 2017.

The album is packed with A-List collaborators including Khalid, Troye Sivan, Bebe Rexha, Empire of the Sun and more, and features four brand-new tracks including new single ‘Nostalgia’

Sakr- Cruel

Sakr shares his new single ‘Cruel’, the second release from his forthcoming EP Structures, out on 10 May.

The track follows his recent single, ‘Everywhere and Nowhere’ which marked the beginning of a new chapter for the established producer, now emerging as a solo artist in his own right.

Sara Storer- Under the Darwin Stars

Following the success of her family project SToRer, Sara Storer is back with a solo track with what can be described as one of the most accessible songs of her career.

In a departure from character based or rural inspired songs, ‘Under Darwin Stars’ draws on themes of love and life in the city where she now lives.

Good Grief- Been Here Before (EP)

Queensland duo Good Grief’s new EP marks the foundation of their growing discography, serving as a benchmark for their future releases. 

Lead track ‘NOMO’ was written in a compression writing session on Magnetic Island where the duo locked themselves in a makeshift studio for a week to write and produce the track. It served as a guiding light for the rest of the project, steering the tracklist; Not only stylistically but conceptually too. 

Will Baker- Racing Car

‘Racing Car’ was written as a track to mirror the storyline of one of Taylor Swift’s most iconic hits, taking a playful stance with its narrator on the opposing side of Swift’s dilemma.

“This song was inspired by Taylor Swift's ‘We Are Never Getting Back Together’ but written from the other perspective. The tongue in cheek feeling of the lyricism accompanied by interesting production give the song an overall bright vibe. The use of [the] metaphor ‘Racing Car’ describes someone who is stuck in your head; speeding through your thoughts, leaving you dazed and longing for more,” Baker said.

The Little Lord Street Band- Time And Place

Western Australia’s beloved Alt-Country/Indie Folk-Rock outfit have released the title track of their upcoming EP, set to come out next month.

"'Time And Place' is a love song about wanting to get back on the road to find purpose amidst life in the suburbs," says vocalist Natasha Shanks.

MOZË- MOSAIC (EP)

Artist and producer MOZË has released a six-track EP where her alluring vocals harmoniously blends with R&B, soul, disco, pop and electronic house arrangements.

'MOSAIC' is an exploration into the tapestry of femininity. Each track I've crafted showcases the diverse layers of womanhood – retribution, empowerment, sensitivity, sisterhood, empathy and spirituality. After two years of composing this, it stands as a journey of self-discovery and empowerment that sheds light on diverse experiences,” she said.

Audrey Powne- Sleep

With just a month before Audrey Powne’s debut album From the Fire is released, another taster is out with new single Sleep.

Sleep’ is an introspective journey into an insomnia inspired universe, amongst Audrey’s string centred composition.

Vetta Borne- 40-40

Borne’s brand-new hedonistic track, perfect for sweaty dancefloors, is about doing what you want, with who you want, without caring about the consequences of being seen. 

“40-40 is about the third date I had with this girl I had been crushing on for ages. By the third date, even though you both still don’t really know too much about each other, you know when there’s a vibe there. 40-40 is just laying that down on the table. I want you, and I know that you want me so, what are we waiting for?” Borne said.

ISHAN- My Mouth (la la la)

Exciting new artist ISHAN, 20, has seen some explosive growth on his new track 'My Mouth (la la la)'.

Drawing inspiration from the likes of Olivia Rodrigo and Vance Joy, his new single is about trying to feel comfortable in your own skin.
