Tentendo - Thoughts (Feat. Vetta Borne)

Melbourne’s electro funk master, Tentendo has teamed up with Vetta Borne for a sultry single entitled ‘Thoughts’.

‘Thoughts’ ticks all the boxes for the infectious dance hits Tentendo is known for. From the swooning vocal performance from Vetta Borne to the prosperous light filled production bed from Tentendo, the single radiates an affirming and approachable aura. Paired with a home cooked meal and accompanying drink, ‘Thoughts’ is the soundtrack for your laidback Sundays or a nonchalant weeknight date.

Tentendo is a master of his craft, and I can’t wait to hear what’s to come.

I’m a big fan of Vetta and I’ve wanted to work with her for a long time, I had this beat sitting around for ages and didn’t quite find the right home for it. I sent it to her and the next day the song was done!

Ukiyo - Good Enough (Feat. Maribelle)

Perth’s Ukiyo shares ‘Good Enough’ featuring Maribelle ahead of his debut album dropping later this year.

‘Good Enough’ continues Ukiyo’s domination of the domestic dance landscape. A lively vocal performance from Maribelle flirts with the synth heavy production soundscape presented by Ukiyo. Together the pair, craft an sensual soundscape tinged with regret and anguish courtesy of the lyrics. This juxtaposition explores the self destructive concept of participating in the bare minimum in life by revelling in the ‘Good Enough’ attitude.

With an album on the way, Ukiyo 2020 is only just begun.

For me, ‘Good Enough’ is all about being happy with what you have. I’m a person that struggles to keep my mind away from thinking about what ‘could’ve’ or ‘should’ve’ instead of focusing on reality. This track came about at a time that was very much a turning point for me with how I chose to view the world. I think it’s an important message for people to hear, especially in a time like now.

Kendl - Turn

We’ve previously featured Melbourne’s Kendl and his exquisite downtempo electronica; now he’s back with ‘Turn’.

‘Turn’ is a journey into a realm of prosperous electronica, where an elaborate world is formed through the tender composition. A sense of mystery is at the forefront of the record’s five and a half minute runtime, as divine synths and pristine piano accompany the cabalism of the dynamic bass and propulsive percussion. This balance and dance between spectral moods, creates a sonic ecosystem that flourishes unbridled.

Kendl is in a lane of his own, and will continue to be a go to for emotion rich electronica.

‘Turn’ took form after experimenting with some melodic textures I recorded and sampled from my upright piano, which formed the intro and inspired how the rest of the song would play out. It ebbs and flows from light and dark moods resembling the different extremes we experience throughout life.
