[PREMIERE] Aevion - California Dream
With summer just around the corner, Aevion has you sorted with ‘California Dream’ a feel good house floor filler.
‘California Dream’ captures the essence of the sunshine season with warm radiance glistening from every facet. Aevion’s lush take on tropical and deep house concoctions is in full effect within the bounds of the almost four minute duration. From flourishing vocal chops that transcend effortlessly to the grooving melodies, ‘California Dream’ is a appetising bite of Summer. The single joins ‘My Baby’ and ‘Lights Go Down’; two of Aevion’s impressive releases on The Magician’s label Potion Records.
With a notable catalogue behind him and a stack of records lined up, Aevion is here to stay and make the party pop!
DOOLIE - My Cue To Leave (Feat. PNK FME)
I might be a little bias with this one, but that’s never stopped me… Futuremag Music favourites DOOLIE and PNK FME have joined forces for a gorgeous R&B slow burner, ‘My Cue To Leave’.
Produced by Gold Coast music royalty, Paces, ‘My Cue To Leave’ seeps with sultry and sensuous sentiments. The swooning vocal display from DOOLIE flirts with the intimate production bed, this is juxtaposed by PNK FME’s raspy and raw performance. This variance plays into the track’s sonic story of the inevitable power struggle between head and heart. ‘My Cue To Leave’ simmers with a sense heated intensity before boiling over as the two parties deliver contrasting perspectives. The collaboration has resulted in DOOLIE cementing herself as a mainstay in Australian music with her signature style of down tempo R&B and electronica.
I’m eager to hear what else DOOLIE and PNK FME have in store for the rest of 2020 and into the new year!
daste. - either way
Another favourite of the Futuremag Music team is Gold Coast trio, daste. and their new dreamy R&B cocktail, ‘either way’.
If you adore the soaring sounds of LEISURE, Tora, Akurei or Golden Vessel, daste. and ‘either way’ will soundtrack your life. With the most minute details accounted for, daste. are masters of their craft. With two EPs under their belt, and a selection of singles, the band have certainly found their sound. From glistening guitar to the wide eye inducing soundscape, the ‘either way’ singles to the soul.
With more music in the pipeline, daste. are set blossom!
Taka Perry - Diamonds
Production king and a long time focus for Futuremag Music, Taka Perry flexes his artistry in ‘Diamonds’.
When you though you heard it all from Taka Perry, the Sydney based creative comes out of leftfield with even more. ‘Diamonds’ is the first ever record to feature the the accomplished artist’s own vocals. We’ve been following Taka Perry for a number of years, and he never ceases to blow us away with his aptitude to create opulent sonic arrangements. Showcasing his immediately catchy production style, the composition splices traditional instrumentation and manipulates it into something fresh and utterly unique.
Taka Perry’s 2020 has been incredible and with 2021 around the corner, he’s set to be a forever favourite for many music fans around the world.
