Peach PRC brought her Secret PRC Tour to the nostalgic stage of The Forum in Naarm/Melbourne to a sold-out crowd full of adoring fans and live music lovers alike. She performed hits spanning her entire career, and even had an intimate, acoustic section of the show, which showed a more vulnerable side of Peach that her fans have never seen before.
The second night of the Secret PRC tour was a raging success. Peach gave her fans a night to remember, full of pop hits, thoughtful covers and even some pole dancing. She is clearly a seasoned performer, however Peach seemed to be so much more confident and content up on that stage. Her positive glow rubbed off on her crowd, with everybody passionately singing along to the lyrics and dancing like nobody was watching.
The Secret PRC Tour was a captivating experience. The entire show was so dynamic and every song that Peach sang was so effortlessly perfect. She opened with Perfect For You, a hit single from her debut EP Manic Dream Pixie, and the whole crowd was instantly in awe of her stage presence and unmistakable charisma. Peach brought this beautiful aura to the stage which was so calming, yet somehow exciting at the same time. She knows how to own the stage, and I definitely think that this was the most confident that I’ve seen her while performing. I noticed how much attention Peach paid to her fans. Fans are arguably the most important thing about being a live performer, so it was really lovely to see her acknowledge the people who got her to where she is today. Some of the fans organised a fan project, which was particularly effective during her song Colourblind. Everyone was given a small piece of coloured paper to put over their phone torch and shine during the song. Examples like this show just how dedicated and loving Peach’s fans are, and how much her fanbase has grown in such a short span of time. She really is starting to dominate the Australian music industry with every release and tour that she does.
Let’s take a moment to talk about the pole dancing break. Peach took a moment to pay homage to her former career of being a stripper, by treating her audience to a short pole dancing routine, which she did ever so flawlessly. She has this grace about her that was just so magical to witness, and to see her on stage in her element was very special. This was followed by one of her most recent singles Like A Girl Does, which has proven to be a fan favourite, and evidently was at her show as well. The atmosphere within the audience was indescribable. Seeing that many people jumping up and down and screaming the lyrics to such an upbeat song like this one was something that I will surely never experience again, because the energy at a Peach PRC concert is unmatched. Shortly after this, Peach did a short but sweet acoustic set. She played guitar to a live audience for the second time ever, and performed a vulnerable, unreleased song called Touchy Subject. This part of the set was very intimate and a nice touch to an already polished show. During this part, the stage was set up like a living room, which I imagine is a subtle reference to The 1975 who also set up their stage as a living room.
Peach PRC put on an outstanding show at one of Melbourne’s most iconic venues to her sold-out crowd of loyal fans. Her voice is pure wonderous, and her choreographed dance routines along with her natural allure on stage is a force to be reckoned with. Peach just keeps elevating her career with every release and live show she does, and I can’t wait to see where her music takes her next
