Leotrix Interview - Aiming High

Meet 17 year old Sydney local Leotrix who is currently tearing up Bass Music scene and delivering new and exciting music through his experimental flare. Known for pushing the boundaries of sound design as we know it, the youngster is irrepressibly drawn to this creative axis as a prodigy and as a rebel.

With huge dreams and aspirations, Leotrix is undoubtedly one to watch and the beauty of it all is that this is just the beginning for this inspired young talent.

Futuremag Music: How did you move into music initially?

Leotrix: I was always surrounded by music and I think ever since I was 2, I've always had some sort of fascination with music. I started seriously writing songs when I was about 8 and I was writing metal/rock songs and I was playing guitar. By the time I was 12, I found dance music and wanted to delve deeper into that.

Futuremag Music: We recently premiered your new single ‘Love Like’, what was the process of creating such a delicious club tune?

Leotrix: Well thank you for calling it delicious! Hahahaha. It came together in my bedroom and I was just mucking around with sounds. But the title of the song came about as like a manifestation of love. I wanted to find love in another person like I had always imagined it. I wrote the song last year before I started dating Tamikah, but I feel like it was about the love I now share with her.
