Trinix Interview - Evolving Electro
Meet French duo Trinix. Known for their upliftiing house and electro pop, the pair have paved their way as one to follow. We had a chat to Trinix about their history, new single 'Close To Me', and much more!
Futuremag Music: How'd you two meet?
Trinx: We met through the brother of Loìˆs, who is my best friend. We were doing music individually in different universes. After our encounter we started to make music together and then we decided spontaneously to post for free on SoundCloud; one track per week and this for 1 year. This experience has allowed us to acquire solid foundations, but also to forge real links with the people who follow us and who saw us evolve.
Futuremag Music: What's your relationship with music been like over the years ?
Trinx: We have a very specific relationship with music, we don't fix any limits. Over the years, we try to change our music and renew ourselves according to our desires.
Futuremag Music: Can you talk us through the production and writing process of your recent single, 'Close To Me'? How'd you meet up with Rendell Stovall?
Trinx: Our recent single "Close To Me" is very special for us, because we wanted to do a track like this for a while. So when Rendell Stovall contacted us by e-mail and sent us the exotic and sensitive acapella of Close To Me, we told ourselves that it was the perfect vocal to try something new that we had never done before.
Futuremag Music: That influences you when creating a track like 'Close To Me'? Who are some artists that have influenced your life and your music?
When Close To Me was created, our greatest influences was the voice of Rendell, so we made the song around her voice to marry them, as well as possible. The artists who have influenced our life and our music are undoubtedly artists of all horizons such as Stromae, Berlioz or Daft Punk.
Futuremag Music: If 'Trinx' was a cocktail, what would be in it to best describe yourselves and your music?
Trinx: If we were a cocktail we would probably be a Long Island, because like this cocktail we like to blend all our influences and our culture to create music that represents us. All you need to have a nice rave-up.
