19-year-old Vincent Sole has a dark, moody sound that quickly transforms from catchy to addictive, as you delve into each of his electro pop, melodic soundscapes. You could describe Vincent’s sound as a perfect mix of Allday’s vocal stylings, Chet Faker’s dance floor-ready production and a brooding, ominous sound inspired by Lorde.

Emerging onto the scene with the help of producer Andrei Eremin (Chet Faker, Taku) Vincent has the approval of some big name figures who have applauded the musician on his mature and developed work at such an early age.

In a modest and cosy upstairs venue of The Gasometer, Vincent played to an eager crowd on Saturday night for his first hometown show. Singing proudly along to singles like The Game, Don’t Waste My Time and Deep End, fans were crammed from front to back of the venue, vibing with Vincent’s smooth and effortlessly euphoric vocals.

Despite being his debut live show, the artist experimented with some new tracks that kept true to the signature sound of swelling synths and a full, electronic production. His captivated audience, buzzing with excitement, seemed to take to it well – lighting the cosy space up with their smartphones flashes, in true 2017 tech-era spirit.
