Eluera - Good Girl

If there’s ever going to be another international pop export from Australia, all eyes are locked on Eluera. The NSW central coast based artist has enraptured us with ‘Him’, ‘Blackout’ , ‘Good When We Fight’, and now ‘Good Girl’.

‘Good Girl’ is a pristine addition to Eluera’s catalogue of pop hits. With each listen, angelic arrangements and flavourful vocals ebb and flow unbridled, matching the likes of her contemporaries; Vera Blue, Eve Karydas or GRAACE. This tender touch has been build through the dear friendship with producer Dylan Nash (Dean Lewis, The Million, Los Leo, Eves Karydas, Angus & Julia Stone). The intimate nature of ‘Good Girl’ touches the soul, as honest and raw lyrics delicately dance upon a plush production bed.

Eluera is undoubtedly one of my favourite artists in the domestic scene, I can’t wait to hear what’s to come.

Chymes - GITY

NSW central coast artist, Chymes has been a regular on my curated playlists both professional and personally. With the release of ‘GITY’, I have another stunning inclusion to my playlists and listening life.

‘GITY’ is dreamy pop piece that floats on a buoyant piece of production. The track’s delicate and vulnerable aura emanates with sincerity a level of intensity that hasn’t been seen in Chymes’ previous releases. Although shift into a darker and gritter sonic is a departure from previous releases such as ‘Sleepless’ or ‘Euphoria’, ‘GITY’ feels like a natural progression for the project; a sign of maturity and growth. Chymes is certainly a figure to watch in 2020 as the project cultivates into a new era.

What’s next for Chymes? Who knows, but we’re excited to the galaxy and beyond.

220 KID x GRACEY - Don’t Need Your Love

Not many acts can drop a debut that surpasses two million streams; 220 KID has achieved this phenomenal feat with ‘Don’t Need Your Love’, working with GRACEY.

‘Don’t Need Your Love’ is an A-grade dance pop tune. The pristine execution of the track’s delectable elements, allows ‘Don’t Need Your Love’ to glimmer in a scene saturated with uninspired copycats. The addition of Gracey’s celestial vocals morphs seamlessly with vibrant and infectious production. The balance of originality and highly commercial constituents positions 220 KID in line with the likes of Jax Jones, MK, Martin Solveig or MEDUZA.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on 220 KID throughout 2020.
