PNK FME - Body Language

Our lad from Adelaide, PNK FME is back with ‘Body Language’ another sultry and dark R&B concoction.

With an unsettled aura and cyclical composition, ‘Body Language’ reflects the notion of repetitive self-sabotage and insecurities. Through moments of somber lyricism, inklings of self-realisation slice through the twisted veil, revealing slivers of actuality. This juxtaposition between an impaired perspective and authentic reality is a demonstration of the daily battle with mental health that affects millions around the world.

With a body of work on the way, the rest of PNK FME’s 2020 is set to be jam-packed with content and more music!

Body Language reeks of avoidance. There was a time in my life where I needed to undertake a process of growth, but I kept on self-sabotaging to evade development. I escaped into a realm of fantasy, pretending everything was okay. The reality is that the chaotic nature of running from problems never turns out well. ‘Body Language’ is a story of that avoidance and the gradual realisation that personal growth was required.

Kult Kyss - God Is A Bassline

Melbourne’s Kult Kyss have been a favourite of the Futuremag Music team since their emergence in 2016. Now the pair return with ‘God Is A Bassline’ a riveting evolution of their infectious sound.

Kult Kyss are an incredibly humble and endearing duo that know the way to my soul with their sensuous sonic. ‘God Is A Bassline’ is a prime example of the pair’s outstanding production and visceral vocals resulting in a track that is equally striking as it is inviting. Diverting from their celestial leaning sound design, ‘God Is A Bassline’ opts for a propulsive and avant-garde structure that taps into Techno and IDM.

Kult Kyss are undoubtably are one of the best acts to come out of Melbourne, and I can’t wait to hear what’s to come.

God Is A Bassline’ pays homage to the power of music and the ways in which it connects us to our higher selves. In creating the track we wanted to strike a balance between simplicity and intensity, taking listeners on a journey through the lighter realms of electronic pop, to the darker spheres of tech-house. There is something so transcendental and immersive about electronic dance music; we wanted to capture that feeling.
