How can you be taken back in time and yet to the future? I have no logical explanation for you other than to witness the all-encompassing, true artisans JUST SILVER. Lead by Ethan Saunders and Ian Mehrle, they have accumulated a plethora of tracks - diverse in nature but bring a classy gentleman-esk theme to a grungy, mellowed out, alt sound that comes off refreshing and vulnerable with a hints of joy and sprinkles of hope.

We saw Just Silver radically transform the top floor of the Lord Dudly pub into a collective of desperate souls finding a folk-alternative answer to their hurting ears and heavy hearts.

The power of art is found in the artists ability to give and take - to know when to strip it back and leave room or when to fill the space for distraction. For an artist to articulate this, they must be masters of their craft, to know the theory, to nerd out on sound design, to know what the sound will make before a string is touched. Allowing for what is being created to be playful and intentional where the artist is both in control and along for the ride with their audience.

Just Silver has done just this, from purposeful placement of amps facing walls, perfecting synth sounds and having just the right pedals in place for the guitar, they have showcased their innovative souls, to be inspired and to inspire, to experiment with sounds and the genre lines. Their sound engineering background shines through to create quite lovely music both live and on record.

Just Silver are the personification of meliorism. Within a crowded, chaotic and competitive industry they are bearing a torch of meaningful creativity that lights a path of hope for musicians and lovers of music. They have shown that packed-out pubs are not just a starting point, but a place to experience well-produced, thought-out music where artists place everything on the table to inspire, spread their message and share from where they are at.
