Kasbo Interview - Coming Down Under
We caught up with Swedish producer Kasbo, ahead of his debut Australian visit! Since our last conversation, Kasbo has been touring the world, performing his Places We Don't Know LP. Kasbo took some time out of his busy schedule to chat about touring, coming to Australia, and performing at this year's Splendour In The Grass.
Futuremag Music: Hey Kasbo, what's been happening? Since our last chat you've released the Places We Don't Know LP, and smashed out a US tour! What's that experience and reception been like?
Kasbo: Hey! It’s been incredible honestly. I've been blown away by people’s reaction to the album, I feel the same way with the tour. It’s a crazy feeling to see that after working on it for such a long time and I couldn’t be more thankful.
Futuremag Music: Talking about tours, you're coming down to Australia soon for Splendour In The Grass, and a few sideshows. From my knowledge, this is the first time you've visited, what are you looking forward to?
Kasbo: The first time yep! Everything honestly, heard so many great things, but maybe mostly hanging out with koalas. Not to read up on stuff to do in Australia, though so if you have any suggestions I’m all ears!
Futuremag Music: Hanging with koalas sounds great! Throwing it back to music, what can Aussie fans expect from your live performance?
Kasbo: Hopefully people can expect to get lost in a different world.
Futuremag Music: What do you have planned after your Australian tour?
Kasbo: I’m flying back to Sweden and having a few months off tour which is going to be really nice. The past 6 months have been pretty intense. I can’t wait to get back in the studio and work on more music, I haven’t been this inspired in years.
